Crew stood by for RAF plane reported missing. Plane later reported down in the sea off Sarclett. Boat left harbour at 6-20 am and searched vicinity until 11 am without finding any trace. When making for home we found a dead airman close inshore near Whaligoe returned to harbour 1 pm and moorings 2 pm.
