Motor Working 3 Hours Wind South State of Sea choppy
Boat went in search of vessel sounding siren as if required assistance. She proved to be the S/S Ford Fisher with striped propeller in dense fog north of Staxigoe. Boat returned to harbour 1-30 pm and got two admiralty drifters to proceed and take disabled steamer in tow. Lifeboat passed ropes several times and stood by till casualty reached harbour.
