Boat left slipway 7 am proceeded to sea in very dense fog and made for Duncansby head. Heard several ships sirens and then located trawler Washington which had floated off rock. Skipper had decided to make for Wick as ship was leaking badly. Proceeded to Wick escorted by trawler Ben Merc and berthed Washington in harbour at 11- 30 am
